CAMPING PHOTO (CP): In the words of Jeff Bundy, President of The Camping Photo:

We put a 6 year old camping photo on Facebook, and we noticed it was getting a lot of comments. So we decided to tag a bunch of people that weren’t in the picture, so everyone gets multitudes of e-mails everyday. The commenting caught on and now we are getting 100-200 comments everyday.

FF: What do I need to do to begin posting?

CP: Here are the steps:

1. Create an account on Facebook
2. Send a friend request to Tory (the matriarch of The Camping Photo)
3. Create an account at TorysPhoto.com.
4. Determine your Facebook Post ID and save it to your account at The Camping Photo.
5. Now you are ready to post! Make sure you are currently logged in to Facebook, go to The Camping Photo posting tool, enter in your comment, then hit the “Add Comment” button.

FF: That sounds too easy. Is this for real?

CP: Yes.

FF: How many comments does the photo have already?

CP: Approximately 20,365 comments.

FF: You mention something about milestones. Do you want to give us a little history?

CP: On October 7, 2008, The Camping Photo passed the 10,000 comment milestone. To commemorate this event, Jeff Bundy, President of The Camping Photo, delivered the following speech:

Campingphoto, in honor of the 10,000th post I would like to say a few words. I would like to thank Josh Reeves for his diligent work in designing this website and making this day possible. I would like to thank Tory Cyr, the owner of the campingphoto. I would like to thank myself, the President, and highest poster. I would also like to thank all of the liaisons, and faithful posters that have made this possible. This is a great day. A day that will go down in history [tears streaming down his face, Aerosmith playing in the background]. We’ve come a long way together, and I am ever so excited for what the future holds. Because of this photo, I now have hope. Hope for a new America and a new life filled with joy for all mankind! Lastly, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without him, the campingphoto would not exist, and neither would I. Now campingphotoers, let us relish the afterglow of this monumentous event!!!”
